Who Mentored You?

National Mentoring Month is an annual initiative to recruit volunteer mentors for young people. Who Mentored You is a site for National Mentoring Month which is spearheaded by the Harvard School of Public Health, MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnership, and the Corporation for National and Community Service. There are inspirational stories of mentor/mentee pairs including famous celebrities and the people who mentored them.


A World Fit for Kids!

A World Fit for Kids! started in an area of Los Angeles where violence is a way of life. It teaches kids to become mentor coaches, and then they, with the help of the program coordinators, run a program that engages elementary through high school students in fitness activities that build self esteem, teach conflict resolution, and foster leadership skills.

Youth Build

YouthBuild is a comprehensive youth and community development program as well as an alternative school. YouthBuild, designed to run on a 12-month cycle, offers job training, education, counseling, and leadership development opportunities to unemployed and out-of-school young adults, ages 16-24, through the construction and rehabilitation of affordable housing in their own communities. Many graduates go on to construction-related jobs or college.

Kids Care
