The
Bergen Volunteer Center, in a new partnership with GOAL Consulting
Group, has created a first-ever opportunity for nonprofit CEO/ED’s and
Board Chairs (and/or other Trustees) of North Jersey and beyond. Using
case studies, leadership-building activities and learning sessions,
this new program will show you how to leverage your unique positions as
trustees, board chairs, CEO’s and executive directors to have a
long-lasting, positive impact on your organizations.

CHORE Service
Volunteer Handypersons needed for the Volunteer Center’s Chore Service,
which provides free home repairs that keep Bergen County senior and
disabled homeowners safe in their homes. Volunteers should be able to
perform minor home repairs that any able-bodied homeowner can do, and
must be available for 1 shift per week—shifts are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Call Maureen McCormick at 201-489-7790 or email chore@bergenvolunteers.org.

Hackensack High School is in need of volunteers to work as Greeters for upcoming Parent Workshops. Volunteers are needed on Tuesday, November 10 from 5:30-9:00pm, and Wednesday, January 20 from 5:30 - 9:00pm. ITN North Jersey is looking for volunteers to help serve more members of Bergen County. Volunteers are
needed to drive those in need to appointments, errands, or any other

Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative (BVMI) is looking for volunteers to work as Volunteer Interpreters at the Hackensack office. Spanish interpreters are needed for busy healthcare center serving the medically underserved. Some familiarity with medical terminology is helpful.
