Benefits of Family Volunteering
Family volunteering strengthens families and strengthens our community. When you decide to become a family volunteer, you are not only contributing to an important cause, but you are also helping your family and children in ways you never thought possible. Adopt-a-Room
Groups can adopt a room to decorate and paint for a family moving into transitional housing or into their new home.

Gardener
Families can help plant a garden for the emergency shelter or one of the housing facilities.

Errand Runner
Visit and go shopping for clients who are unable to go out for themselves.

After School Program
Assist in Day Care Center and/or After School Program reading to children, playing games, assisting with homework, doing arts/crafts, and planning events or parties for children.

Friendly Visitor
Visit with your family and socialize with clients.  Bring a treat, arts/crafts project or entertainment. Families must plan with Joanne O’Neill before coming.
